The exceptional Panasonic SDR-H101 standard-definition camcorder is perfect for families on the move. The combination of Super Zoom functions, Advanced O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilisation) to correct hands-shake, and a 33mm wide-angle lens makes it the perfect companion for your big adventures. The SDR-H101 can record a huge volume of movie image data onto the in-built 80GB hard disk drive and onto SDXC, SDHC, or SD memory cards, making it fantastic for recording long events and for taking away on epic trips.

33mm Wide Angle Lens with Enhanced 78x Optical Zoom
The 33mm wide-angle* setting on the SDR-H101 fits more people and more of the background into the frame than conventional models. This is especially handy when you want to take a group photo in a small room. It fits your subjects in even when you shoot from up close, and makes it possible to pick up even small sounds with the mic. The compact, easy-to-carry camcorder has the Enhanced 78x Optical Zoom. By taking maximum advantage of the effective CCD area, the camera makes it easy to capture a wide range of dynamic images, from sweeping landscapes with the 33mm wide-angle scope to close-ups of distant subjects with the 78x zoom, without having to worry about image degradation.

Advanced O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilisation) with Active Mode
With long-distance zoom shots, even a small amount of hand-shake has a huge effect on picture quality. That's where Advanced O.I.S. comes in. It shifts a corrective lens as you shoot to help eliminate the effects of hand-shake, so you get clear, sharp shots even at high zoom levels. It's an essential feature for getting the most out of the SDR-H101’s incredible zoom lens. Advanced O.I.S. with Active Mode comes in handy when shooting while walking or playing with your children. The wide correction area corrects even wide-frame shots and relatively large hand-shake motion. It's especially good for active video shooting.

80GB Built in Hard Drive Disk and SD Card Recording
The SDR-H101 can record a huge volume of movie image data onto the in-built hard drive disk and onto SDXC, SDHC, or SD memory cards. The 80-GB hard drive disk stores approximately 74 hours and 30 minutes of data (in LP mode), while a 64-GB SDXC Memory Card (sold separately) can store up to 60 hours of data (in LP mode). This makes the SDR-H101 perfect for recording long events and for taking away on road trips.

LED Video Light
When the SDR-H101 determines that the ambient lighting is insufficient, it automatically switches the light on. This illuminates your subject for shooting. The LED (light emitting diode) has low power consumption, a long service life, and the safety of a low operating temperature.

Easy iA (intelligent Auto) Mode with AF Tracking
The iA (Intelligent Auto) Mode on the SDR-H101 senses the shooting conditions and automatically adjusts the settings and activates the functions that will deliver optimal results. With both motion and still images, iA takes care of all the settings for you and makes it easy to capture beautiful, well-focused images. AF/AE Tracking optimises the focus and exposure for a selected subject to ensure fantastic results. After you ‘lock on’ to a subject at the centre of the screen by pressing the AF/AE button, the camera follows it around, keeping it in sharp focus and properly exposed.

Pre-Record Function
This clever function records three seconds of images even before you actually begin shooting. The images are held temporarily in the SDR-H101’s internal memory, before recording begins. This helps ensure that you won't miss the start of a moment you want to record, such as when an event begins all of a sudden. For example, if you're waiting to snap a shot of a jumping dolphin, you can press the REC button after you've made sure that the dolphin has cleared the surface of the water. The camcorder will record the entire scene, from the instant of the dolphin's jump until it disappears again into the sea.

Wind Noise Canceller
The Wind Noise Canceller on the SDR-H101 automatically detects and suppresses only wind noise. It lets you capture natural sounds with lifelike ambience even when shooting in windy conditions outdoors or by the sea.

Included VideoCam Suite 3.5 Editing Software
VideoCam Suite editing software is just the tool you need to make polished, smartly finished productions. It lets you load images into your PC for putting scenes in a different order and delete the ones you don't want with simple operation. When you're finished with your video production, you can use VideoCam Suite to save the edited version onto an SD Card and a DVD disc.
